What does an “acceptance code” mean when reading a credit card offer?

I received a credit card offer from my bank. At the bottom of the letter it states “accept this great credit card offer today , make sure you have your acceptance code”, then provides a number password.

Does this code mean I will receive the card no matter what? Or will I still need to go through an over the phone application process?

Thanks for your help!

The acceptance code means that you received the letter. It is used to track which “offer” letters are most effective at getting customers to respond.

It does not mean that you will receive the card.
