What are the disadvantages of home cooked food?

Not home cooking. Home cooked food.
Not how tiring cooking food is. I would like to know more about the eater’s point of view.

    Home cooked food is awesome! You control the ingredients, the spices, everything. There are no disadvantages unless you don’t know how to cook.

    Home cooking is wonderful.. You keep your kitchen clean Experimenting with new recipes is fun. Always eat at the table. On our anniversary we love having broiled steak and shrimp at home. Well I’m old fashioned. Grandma Sue

    I am a gourmet chef and have worked on charter boats, so my cooking is pretty good. I avoid those terrible COMMUNAL FEEDS where everyone fixes a dish and then everyone eats together because I know the typical home cook, CAN KILL ME because THEY DON’T KNOW HOW TO HANDLE FOOD… and that is assuming their food is even fit to eat in the first place.

    Which brings me to point 2… there are very few home cooks who can prepare foods to my standards for taste and texture. I really do prefer eating my own cooking. The MAIN DRAWBACK is in the economy of scale because it takes a certain amount of material to prepare just to make it taste right… trying to fix a few portions and having it taste the same as making the same thing for 20 or 30 servings or more, is impossible.

    Home cooked food better than anywhere else… and should be appreciated.. especially if not you the one who do the cooking… lol

    disadvantages? – not presented well and sometimes we tend to have same meal all the time so we lack some nutrient and mineral.

    The first disadvantage of home cooked food is not liking what’s prepared and gracefully trying to eat as little as possible (going to dinner at a friend’s and not wanting hurt feelings..).

    The second would be, if you don’t know who made the dish, how sanitary is the cook.

    The third is how the meat/poultry was prepared: was it cooked to proper temp in oven, was the poultry washed and rinsed thoroughly….

    The fourth is kind of an oddball. Meals need color. I have trouble eating an all white meal! Presentation of food is a must. I like color when I eat.
