tape off telephone jacks as well…. if you get paint in a wall phone jack you can cause a rerun of fibreroptic electricity running in the line. It in turn it can cause massive static on the telephone, no dial tone, no ring, loss of DSL.
If you did get paint in the phone jack and have the phone line problem… until you can replace the jack and fresh tipped wire… simply cut the [cord] circuit from that particular wall jack and the problem of phone service & internet service is solved.
good tip on the outlets, I see this too often its crazy, you’ld think it was obvious but clearly its not.
the tape thing on trim ? usless, dont even bother. tape either does two things, if not applied tight it bleeds, if pressed in good and tight, it peels paint off when removed. just roll like normal, then get a small 2″ roller and a high quality 1″ brush. cut with the 1″ brush, then roll with the 2″ roller. it’ll blend in, takes some time but is honestly the best method.
too much tape is being used.
I’d love to know how many people right now are thinking HOW THE HELL DO I PAINT A ROOM?! I’M SO STUCK!!! WHERE SHOULD I START?! haha! Christ sake. Just common knowledge to cover everything isn’t it? :S Iunno haha
I would also like to know how to make light green circles when painting and the wall is already painted light blue
this is something that could be useful someday
Bravo!!!
