I tear in half and put in recycle bin…nothing goes to waste. I help my college son and daughter too by tearing up theirs and recycling it. What’s really scary was when my kids were 15/16 and they were getting credit card offers…already…that really opened my eyes to the crazy problematic world we live in. I think because I have >850 credit..they assumed my kids were ready at 15.

What I do is cross out my name and info and send the competitions stuff in their return envelopes ! Let the mailman send their junk right back to them. Keep the mailmen working and let them feel what I feel when I get JUNK!

For me it’s the banks trying to lure me into investing money into x y z scheme.

I get ’em too. The banks are trying to get as many people to owe them money as possible.

No, I don’t. Because I’m a poor sod. You (Pastor Dowell), however, are a public figure. Quite popular on YouTube. Thus, you have a following… And that’s where the money’s at! That’s why they’re interested in you. You’re a choice opportunity to do business. You seem fairly sincere in your conviction against it. I truly hope it’s genuine. Please, don’t crush my faith/trust in you, dear Pastor. My trust and faith is in short supplies these days.

I get them all the time now…ur not the only one. I made a HUGE mistake when I was in college..I had abt 6-7 credit cards..I mean…my wallet was LOADED with them. I got into major trouble with them…charge offs…payment settlements..harassment by debt collectors. My credit was ruined all thru my twenties to early 30’s. I now have excellent credit and I throw these offers away. Yes, it was my fault for being foolish with the cards but these things will get u into MAJOR trouble.

Haha, yes. My mom taught me to use their envelope and send the postage paid envelope back without your identifying information; (just a blank piece of paper with their address or if it isn’t a window envelope just send it empty). That way they have to pay for the postage but gain no new business, if everyone did that they would stop soliciting through the mail because it would no longer be lucrative.

I get them so much I ask them to remove me from their mailing list, NOT! they just keep right on coming, no matter what you ask, say, or do. So. just tear them up, maybe over time, if they see you are not “biting the bait” then they will go on to the next poor soul. So, banks know credit cards are instant money makers off of consumers. They are surviving off the interest you pay, so I stay away from them ALWAYS….
